I originally got interested in machine learning because I wanted to know the answer to that question.
I thought AI and machine learning was the same thing but someone told me that was wrong and I wanted to why it was wrong, so I went and looked it up.
Apparently in the field of AI there is a debate about that and some people say that AI and machine learning are interchangeable but most people say no because there is other types of AI that are not straight machine learning.
Machine learning is a sub-set of AI
We usually use most versions of AI but there are known networks and other kinds of artificial intelligence that layers onto machine learning that is strictly not machine learning.
