I think there's no denying that there's certain topics on Instagram that are more popular than others.
People are genuinely interested in fashion. People are genuinely interested in food. People are genuinely interested in fitness.
If for example, you are some really nice influencer, that's talking about their love for flying, or planes, or some random shit like that, then obviously your audience is a lot more niche and tailored. So, I imagine it will take you a lot longer. Maybe not necessarily a lot longer because you'll be sticking out in a crowd because you're not like everyone else that's promoting fashion.
I would say that you definitely would have a better luck sticking to an industry that you're obviously interested in, and that others are as well.
