Director of SEO & Content at ClickThrough Marketing

Digital Marketer | Technical SEO Geek | Website Migration Veteran

I’m an SEO nerd with 10 years’ experience working within the world of digital marketing. I began my SEO journey back in 2011 as a Digital Marketing Apprentice at ClickThrough Marketing where my eyes were opened to the fascinating world of technical SEO and I haven’t looked back since! I became a technical SEO specialist and started to build out a team of technical experts to sit alongside me. Over the last couple of years, I became Head of SEO and then just this year, moved into the position of Director of SEO & Content. I am responsible for driving growth within the SEO and Content department at ClickThrough Marketing in order to ensure we are delivering market leading services for our clients. I’ve also been involved in a large number of successful website migrations ranging from small lead gen sites all the way up to massive eCommerce sites - I absolutely love a website migration project!

During my time within the world of SEO I have spoken at a number of events with a couple being in collaboration with Google. I really enjoy providing other SEOs and digital marketers with insightful information, tips and tricks in order to improve performance.

Analysing the ‘impact’ from the CWV update and what ‘actions’ you ‘need’ to take

Google’s Page Experience Update is launching in May this year and everyone within the world of SEO is frantically trying to prepare. This algorithm update has been designed to establish how users interact with a webpage and whether they have a positive or negative experience and Google may not rank a webpage as high in the search results if users have a negative experience. As part of this update, Google has introduced a range of metrics called ‘Core Web Vitals’ which are a key element within this update.

During this talk I am going to be analysing the impact of the Page Experience Update and if you are still falling short when it comes to Core Web Vitals, I will walk you through the actions you need to take in order to improve performance.
